I trained as a painter but my practice has diversified to include installation, light, sound, performance, billboards, curating, and digital media. A residency in Iceland in 2015 created a shift of interest, towards a creative conversation between painting and film. During 2015/16 I had two solo exhibitions in the NE of England. In the same year, I collaborated with another artist to produce a commissioned film piece. Further residencies in Iceland in July 2016 and May 2017 enabled me to draw, paint and make short films. In October, 2017 two films were shown at the 2nd Western China International Art Biennale in Hohhot, the capital of Inner Mongolia. I combine working in my studio with my role as a free-lance artist for the BALTIC Centre of Contemporary Art in Gateshead.
