This solo exhibition is a mixture of drawing, painting and performance (film). The show consists mainly of work that was created in response to my residency in the summer of 2015 at Listhús, an international art centre in the north of Iceland.

Prior to the trip my artistic concerns were quite different i.e. current affairs and the re-interpretation of the work of ‘classic’ artists. The residency experience prompted a shift of interest (towards landscape) and, along the way, a dialogue between painting and performance.

The drawings and paintings were developed from the on-site sketches that I produced in Iceland. It is work that could only be fully realised in retrospect, with reflection.

The performance film was presented as an immersive installation.
